Hi experts,
Hope you are doing good.
I am facing problem during cucm installation in microsoft hyper-v. A message is showing during installation as "This hardware (or a combination thereof) is not supported by red hat" and then "The hardware you are using is not supported for this product. installation will now halted".
It is mentioned that image file is ok which i already installed in vmware workstation as well as esxi.
Please suggest me the way out. Hope many guys like me will be benefited. Thanks in advance.

Hi dm,
Please be informed that Cisco doesn't recommend Linux kvm.
However you can follow the below link but remember I do recommend to use VMware hypervisor or workstation to practice cucm.
Hope you find it helpful.
Plz share your feedback if it is ok or not.
Thanks

Is there any technical reason why it is not supported? Why it is impossible to run linux on linux kvm?

Hi dm,
I love to think simply. So I would like to say that the cucm version you asked for was not made compatible with hyper-v. Might be some business issues with Microsoft. Whatever it is you can practice it in VMware workstation. If you have hyper-v but not VMware you can install it woin VMwarer workstation.
* So far I know from v12 cucm is compatible with hyper-v also.
Thanks
