Hello all,
I just went through CUCM 9.1 documentation & found that " Beginning with release 9.0, CUCM and CUP will start integration to be one product "
Does it mean for Jabber we dont need to have Separate Presence Server as we use to had before ?
In this case how we need to configure Jabber clients for Windows, iphone & android products ?
Regards,

i would think if we refer to the following link most of your queries will be answered;
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/im_presence/deployment/9_1_1/CUP0_BK_D5B4C107_00_deployment-guide-for-imp-91/CUP0_BK_D5B4C107_00_deployment-guide-for-imp-91_chapter_00.html
As far as the configuration is concerned; the critical IM and P related information is still going to be catered by the im and presence server. Federation realted service ( sip or xmpp) and message archiving ; Ms lync RCC activity are still catered by the Im and presence node.
As of version 9.x the uc service and service profile section of the cups config will now become part of call manager menu.
the IM and P will still perform the task of rendering TFTP ip address which is critical for all latest version of jabber (windows/mac/ios) to fetch the jabber-config.xml
here are sections that will give you more information on configuration of various jabber products;

Hello Amit,
Thank you so much for reply, but still its not clear to me.
as you said
"the critical IM and P related information is still going to be catered by the im and presence server. Federation realted service ( sip or xmpp) and message archiving ; Ms lync RCC activity are still catered by the Im and presence node"
Is there difference between IM and P server & IM and Presence nod ? I am assuming both are same.

By IM and P service i meant ; the ability to chat and see the presence information of an enrolled user. This very taks of enabling a user to chat with yet another user and see his presence information is going to be proceesed by the im and presence server.
Federation; Remote call control with MS Lync are the other features that are also undertaken by the this im and presence server.

Alright Amit,
So Cisco Unified IM and Presence Service is new name of Cisco Unified Presence, and all features & capabilities that were supported into Cisco Unified Presence 8.6 or ealier are now part of Cisco Unified Communication Manager 9.0 & now no need for separate dedicated hardware for Cisco Unified Presence Server required for Jabber (Chat, Presence Info) any more ... Am i right ?
