We are the in process of upgrading our CWMS environment from 2.8 to 4.0. Currently, we are running Productivity Tools 2.82.7000.1199. The release notes for CWMS 4.0 state that the Webex Meetings Desktop Application replaces the WebEx Meeting application and Productivity Tools.
Are the Productivity Tools compatible with CWMS 4.0? Or do we need to push an update to all users after/during the upgrade?

Bruno,
I upgraded our test environment about 4 weeks back and have yet to deploy the new desktop app. We are running the same Productivity Tools version that you are running with the CWMS environment upgraded to 4.0MR1 and have yet to run into any issues. We plan on upgrading our 2000 user MDC deployment in a couple weeks, then deploying the new desktop app a few weeks after.

Sorry for the delayed response - you've probably found your answer to this but the CWMS 4.0 release notes mentions:
The Webex Meetings desktop app replaced Webex Productivity Tools for Cisco Webex Meetings Server 4.0. However, if you need to use Productivity Tools as part of your upgrade strategy, only version 2.82.7000.1229 or later is compatible.

Yes - we upgraded successfully from 2.8 to 4.0. However, you need to deploy new servers for the 4.0 environment. Once you process the upgrade on the 2.8 admin server(s), you will migrate the disk that houses the database over to the new 4.0 admin server(s). All steps should be covered in the upgrade doc. You also need to ensure that you read through the pre-requisites listed in the planning guide >> https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/collaboration/CWMS/4_0/Planning_Requirements/cwms_b_planning-guide-system-requirements-cwms-4-0.html .
