Hello,
Did anyone succeed to connect third-party client with Cisco IM&Presence?
I tried with Spark and there seems to be some problem with PLAIN authentification - wrong Base64 username:password encoding by Spark, so IM&Presence refuses to authenticate my 3rd part client.
Thanks!
Kind regards, Dragan

We've got people connecting both via Apple Messages and open source XMPP clients both direct to IM&P and via MRA.

Hi Gordon,
Do you know which open source clients did you use exactly? I've tried with Spark and several other.
I noticed that Jabber for Windows uses "CISCO-VTG-TOKEN" as authentication method. Third-party clients use PLAIN authentication, but there seems to be a problem. Do you know perhaps which format exactly should be used before encoding to Base64?
For instance I tried with:
- username, password
- username@domain, password
But I always get XMPP FAILURE back.
Thanks in advance,
Regards, Dragan

I think at least Pidgin has been used.
Username has to be username@domain
Do you have an _xmpp-client._tcp SRV DNS record?
