We are looking to integrate Jabber for Windows as a replacement to Lync. We currently use Lync/Skype as our IM client and utilize RCC plugin for click to call using CIPC as the calling device. We are also using MRA/Expressway-E and Expressway-C for remote teleworker phones and Jabber for Android/iPhone users. My question is regarding intradomain federation...can we implement intradomain federation if we have unified messaging configured? Will we need a dedicated broker server? What are some other issues we might face?
We would prefer to roll Jabber out in phases which would require presence to be displayed between the two applications.
