Deployment has their email address in the format first.last@company.com and their IM address in the format username@jabber.company.com
Jabber 9.1.3 users. (upgraded few users to 9.6 and we have the same problem there too)
IM&P 9.1.1.31900-1
UCM 9.1.1.20000-5
Frequently and in apparent random fashion, we see that when userA searches for userB in jabber, UserB shows up as offline as their IM address has now changed to first.last@company.com
Flushing the jabber cache resolves it but then userA experiences the same issue again when trying to IM with UserC.
Jabber is integrated with AD and AD has the proxyaddress field set to userid@jabber.company.com for all the users.
How does on start troubleshooting this ?
Where does the IM address get populated from ?
