Jabber cannot search users from Microsoft exchange Public folders

I would like to know whether the Jabber for Windows can search for contacts from Microsoft exchange Public folders.

(For the contacts in Personal Folder is Okay)

I have the following versions:

jabber: 9.2.1 Build 602

CUCM: 9.1.1.20000-5

CUPS: 9.1.1.20000-5

MS Exchange 2003

Hi Michalis,

The jabber client can search for local outlook contacts from the outlook pst file. It cannot search for contacts that are located in a public exchange folder.

MAPI Server Requests for Local Outlook Contacts

Cisco Jabber for Windows  attempts to retrieve local Microsoft Outlook contacts from the Outlook  PST file. If Outlook does not cache local contacts in the PST file, Cisco Jabber for Windows  sends contact resolution requests to the MAPI server. As a result, the  MAPI server can experience an impact to performance. Cisco recommends  that you configure Outlook to cache local contacts in the PST file.  Otherwise, you must ensure that your MAPI server is capable of managing  the requests from Cisco Jabber for Windows.
