Jabber connection settings not applying.

Hi, I have to deploy the jabber client to 500ish Windows XP PCs.

I have tried using the command line in a bat file.

msiexec.exe /i "CiscoJabberSetup.msi" /qn+ TYPE=CUP ADDRESS=10.224.1.21

DOMAIN=ottouk.com LANGUAGE=1033

I have tried creating an mst file.

I have tried adding the settings to jabber-bootstrap.properties and putting that in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Cisco Systems\Cisco Jabber dir.

Nothing seems to work. Evertime I launch the client, the connection settings are not there.

Any help appreciated,

Steve.

Hi Steve,

What is the version of JabberWin? There have been few bug fixes around this area since the release of 9.0 client in March this year. If you have the option to open a support case case, please open one with Cisco TAC.

Thanks,

Maqsood

Thanks for the reply. Im trying to install the latest 9.1 version.

I will open a case then.

Thanks,

Steve.

Just rolled it out to 100 test users and the settings seemed to have applied OK

It sets the type to CUP and the server to default, which I presume is picking up the DNS SRV _cuplogin.

So all is OK.

Hi,

Thanks for info, I was struggling to find information for it.

If I have Two presence servers, do I need to create two SRV records? if yes, would they e the same but " host offering this service"

would be different. yeh?

Thanks,
