Jabber-Deskpone No Connection - CTI Error | CJ:2100:2

Hello All,

 

Problem: 

Unable to establish a connection between Jabber and Deskphone

 

Action Done So Far:

 

Service: CTI Manager Restarted; Status Activated on Pub and Sub

 

End-User Settings

1) Desk Phone Associated and assigned under "Controlled Devices"
 
2) Permissions
Groups
Standard CCM End Users
Standard CTI Enabled
'Standard CTI Allow Control of All Devices' 
Roles
Standard CCM End Users
Standard CCMUser Admin
Standard CTI Enabled
 
3) UC Service Profile
Service Profile:  IM&P and CTI Port 2748
LDAP Port 389
 
4) User has checked Allow Control of Device from CTI 
5) Device has checked Allow Control of Device from CTI 
6) Line has checked Allow Control of Device from CTI 
 
After Jabber Refresh, unable to establish the connection. 
 
Jabber connection Status shows CTI not connected 
 
Error Message - Connection to Phone Service failed - CJ:2100:2

You'll need to be sure to add these permissions to the end user:

Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Connected Xfer and conf

Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Rollover Mode

 

If that doesn't do the trick, you may be missing a few additional steps either on the end user, device, or line.  But let's start there and see if that gets you moving.

Thanks very much davisjaron, that solved the issue. 

 

A SCCP phone worked but with 88xx series phones, it seems this additional permission was required for Jabber to be able to control the desk phone.
