Jabber does not register to Call Manager over VPN - latency issue?

I've noticed that some users are having issues with their Jabber clients connceting to Call Manager (9.0) over vpn depending on where they are.  The magic number seems to be around 150ms between the client and the CM.  Sometimes it will connect and sometimes not.  I also notice that CIPC will register where Jabber will keep trying.

Are any of you experiencing the same?

Any work arounds?  We are both Mac and PC envireronment.

easiest to troubleshoot from the client, start checking the client's Jabber logs and run wireshark
