Hi Guys,

By default, Jabber for Windows 9.2.5, when searching for contacts, it first lists the local Outlook contacts, and then it shows the list of Corportate Directory Contacts.

Is there a way to show only LDAP contacts?? I don't want the list of local contacts to be available.

Best Regards,

Hi Juan,

It is possible, you can add this lines to your XML to get rid of those:

  false

Hope this helps!

In jabber 9.2 you should be able to change this behavior from the client as well.

Local Contacts in Microsoft Outlook

Cisco Jabber for Windows lets users search for and add local contacts in Microsoft Outlook.

To search for local contacts in Microsoft Outlook with the client, users must have profiles set in Microsoft Outlook. In addition, users must do the following:

    Select File > Options.

    Select the Integration tab.

Select either None or Microsoft Outlook.

To add local Microsoft Outlook contacts to contact lists in the client, local contacts must have instant message addresses in Microsoft Outlook.

To show contact photos in the client interface, local contacts in Microsoft Outlook must have instant message addresses.

To communicate with local contacts in Microsoft Outlook using the client, local contacts must have the relevant details. To send instant messages to contacts, local contacts must have an instant message address. To call contacts in Microsoft Outlook, local contacts must have phone numbers.

An additional step if needed. If you add this line to the XML and the Outlook contacts still show, you may want to delete the cache in order to remove locally cached contacts.

This cache can be found under:

%USER_PROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Cisco\Unified Communications\Jabber\CSF\

Hope this helps as well!
