I'm having issues signing into a Windows Jabber client. I have CA signed certs on all of my servers and I'm getting a cert error first. After importing the Root CA cert to my local PC it appears to accept the certificate but then gives me a wrong username/password error.
I tried by IP, but I don't have the cert issues by IP, but by name, so I'm not able to try it that way.
I changed the password in CUCM for the End User several times, but still cannot authenticate.
In the Jabber client, I'm using the Advanced Settings and choosing the IM and Presence server and pointing it to the DNS name of the server.

Does the credentials work with the UCMuser page??
Have you checked any DNS issues?

OK...I just created a new user from scratch and was finally able to login with Jabber. Now, though, I'm getting a not able to connect error when I'm trying to place a call from Jabber.
The error I'm getting before it lets me login now...at least the first time, is that the cert for the call manager is untrusted...but it's showing the IP of the CUCM, not the domain name which the CA cert is registered to. Unsure if this has anything to do with not being able to place calls.

How are your servers defined under system -> server?

IN CUCM
System -> Server
cucm <-- for call manager connection
cups.(domainname) <-- for IMP connection.
The only place that I see IP connectivity is on the SIP Trunk going to IMP in CUCM and the Gateway in IMP pointing back to CUCM. Everything else appears to be set to use DNS.
