Hi,
I am working with a client that uses a public IP address space - CUCM, IMP, Expressway-Core and Expressway-Edge and desktop PC's all have a public IP address. Only Expressway-Edge is advertised to public internet though.
My problem is that all DNS servers are also on a public IP address and we are using a single UC domain, because there isn't internal and external DNS we can't configure the cisco-uds and collab-edge SRV records properly so that the Jabber client picks up the right one depending on them being internal or external.
The only solution i can think of is to configure a bogus domain that the Jabber clients use externally to resolve the collab-edge SRV, then configure the voice services domain to be the actual UC domain - Don't really want to go down this route though as it is not as fluid and i don't like the idea of users logging in using a different domains.
Has anyone come across this?
Thanks, Simon
