Hi there.
I am having a problem with jabber with a user. I have a user that logs into jabber with a different username/password that his AD login, a shared user. The password is correct but he keeps getting "incorrect username or password". If he tries to login with his AD username and password, jabber works fine. if i try to login with the shared user in my computer, works fine, same credentials. It doesnt matter how many times i reset jabber, or how many times i reinstall jabber, it won't work in his computer. I haven't tried to clear the jabber cache, i will try as soon as i can cath up with the user, but right now i don't know what else to do.

Have you checked, if UPN-Discovery is enabled and therefore, Jabber takes the wrong email address for the lookup in the first place?
You can try to reinstall Jabber with the following parameters via the command line and then, try again to login.
msiexec.exe /i ciscojabbersetup.msi UPN_DISCOVERY_ENABLED=false CLEAR=1
It deactivates the UPN discovery

Thanx for the answer. Tried it, and i was still having the same error. As what i tried was modifying the jabber-bootstrap.properties, i also tried clearing the cache. But the folders pointed in the instrucciones wasn't exactly like mine, so what i did (with jabber closed) was rename the folders:
%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Cisco\Unified Communications\Jabber
%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Cisco\Unified Communications\Jabber
to
%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Cisco\Unified Communications\Jabber2
%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Cisco\Unified Communications\Jabber2
After that, the user seems to be able to login with both accounts.
Thanx!!!
