Hi All,

I am facing some problem with jabber client running in IPHONE XS.

CUCM version is 11.5

Brand: Apple
Jabber Version: 14.1.4.307311
Model (and Product): iPhone XS
System Name: iOS
iOS: 16.0.3

Problem: When jabber is minimized or phone is locked, jabber get un-registered automatically. And when jabber application is opened>it get registered.

No any changes has been made in CUCM side.

Any help what could be the reason?

Thank You

This is expected since Apple deprecated the older VoIP Sockets API; Jabber/Webex app will unregister from CUCM whenever it is not in the foreground. You need to use Apple Push Notifications to get incoming call alerts. It’s also strongly recommended that you enable OAuth (and SIP OAuth - but that requires CUCM 12.5+) so the app can reconnect very quickly when it relaunches.
