Hi, I have to deploy the jabber client to 500 Windows 7 PCs.
I have tried using the command line in a bat file.
msiexec.exe /i "CiscoJabberSetup.msi" TYPE=CUP ADDRESS=10.22.50.12
DOMAIN=domain.com LANGUAGE=1033
I have tried creating an mst file.
I have tried adding the settings to jabber-bootstrap.properties and putting that in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Cisco Systems\Cisco Jabber dir.
Nothing seems to work. Evertime I launch the client, the connection settings are not there.
Any help appreciated

Can you send a screenshot of what you see?

Hi there,
I found if the jabber Client is not correctly installed with Admin privillages it was not able to write connection or Audio settings to “\AppData\Roaming\Cisco\Unified Communications\Jabber\CSF\Config”
Also i have noticed a change from clients 9-1-3 to 9-2 where 9-2-0 uses a "cache" folder at “\AppData\Roaming\Cisco\Unified Communications\Jabber\CSF\Config\cache"
this cache folder stores settings on temp basis and these are distributed to config on client restart.

Hi,
If you have a previous Jabber version installed on the PC the new settings will not be taken, this works fine for initial deployments yet not for upgrades; in case you have a previous Jabber version installed please make sure you uninstalled it and cleared all cached info.

If you set CLEAR=1 as part of the install, it will wipe the old login data.
