Hello all,
I am working on implementing an MRA for one of our customer. CUCM (version 9.1.2) is integrated with LDAP and we import users. I would like to check with you if it is possible to change userid from "sAMAccountName" to "mail"? what about CUCM 10.5? Thanks.
BR,
Ahmed

Yes, you can change it, however, this means you would need to turn all of your users into local users, change their userID to their mail, and then, re-enable the LDAP sync.
If you don't, the garbage disposal will delete them as they don't match the userID value from LDAP.
This is the same in any CUCM version.

Thanks Jaime,
I will test it this evening. When you say re-enable the LDAP sync. Does this mean if I force a re-sync it will not overwrite this change? Thanks.

If you leave the LDAP sync running, you would need to change the userID from sAMAccountName to mail for all of your users, before the garbage disposal process deletes them. I meant you should disable it, change the users to local users, change userID, re-enable LDAP.
