Looking to have Jabber mirror Agent Desktop availability state

We use both Jabber and agent desktop in our environment for call handling. Currently, Jabber detects and changes state based on when the user is on a call, which while helpful, what we'd like to do is have jabber show available or not available statuses based on what is set in the agent desktop, but we cannot find a way to do this. Is this something that can be configured for Jabber?

No this cannot be done, remember Jabber can be used as Agent Device in UCCX/UCCE but cannot be used to control the agent device. Reason for this is there could be only one CTI control over the agent device and that had to be through the Contact Center application (UCCX/UCCE) whatever you are using there. You cannot use Jabber in Deskphone mode wherein it is is being used to control the agent phone but can only be used in softphone mode wherein the CTI control of Jabber will be controlled by Finesse Desktop. At no point the state change on Finesse Desktop will be going to Jabber as these states are specific to Contact Center environment.
