We recenlty upgraded to CUCM15SU2 from CUCM12.5SU6 and we are expereincing some issue on MRA deskphone. MRA desk phone keeps looping and reboot several times and does not backup for next few hours. Ultimately phone comes backup and phone get registered but takes few hours.
At the same time, during looping process if we disconnect any other MRA phone, this phone backups much quicker. Local/Network phones, jabber and jabber MRA do not have this issue. No changes on Expressways and CUCM other than CUCM upgrade from 12.5SU6 to 15SU2. Any suggestion or recommnedation to check. We spent few days with few Cisco TAC but issueMRA, Other Collaboration Applications is still not solved.

Do you have your MRA Expressway C(s) defined as FQDN in CM?

Yes, those are are automatically added through AXL and never had this issue earlier.

No they are not. They are commonly added with host names, not FQDN. From CM v14 they need to be in FQDN and Expressway doesn’t handle that. Copy or edit the C’s added in CM and set the name in FQDN. Then do a resync in Expressway.

CM has both host names and FQDN of each expressway core that were added automatically.

If you say that so I’ll bow down, but I’ve never seen that actually being the case. We’ve always had to create the FQDN entries of the C’s in CM.
