HI

I wanted to know can someone tell me where do I go to change the number of rings that a phone rings before it goes to VM. Currently when I call a user the phone is ringing just 2 times and then going to voicemail so I want to change it globally for all the phones in the organization.

If you want to change it globally then you will have to go to:

  1. System > Service Parameters
  2. For Server, select a UCM node, pub is fine since this is a cluster wide setting
  3. For Service, select "Cisco CallManager"
  4. Scroll down to "Clusterwide Parameters (Feature - Forward)" then under "Forward No Answer Timer" you can change that to whatever value you like. Default is 12 seconds which equates to approx. 3 rings.
