One Button to Push with Cisco Spark

Hi!

We have followed the deployment guide for Cisco spark hybrid Calendar Service, and have enabled One Button to Push for our Cisco Devices. However, when meeting time comes around, there should be a "Join" button on our devices.

Instead of the Join button, we are receiving an automatic call from the space to everyone a few minutes before.

This is a bit concerning because if there is a meeting in the room, they'll receive a call for the next meeting, interrupting their meeting time.

Cisco advertised it as a Join meeting button.

Is this happening to the users or to the rooms? And are the rooms paired with users at this time?

No one is paired. The functionality works perfect except for the instead on "Join" it just calls the space for answer. Get me?

I think you are mixing up users (actual people with the Spark app on their laptop/mobile) and devices (hardware Spark Room Endpoints).

Sorry, my fault. I didn't explain myself well.

When we schedule a meeting using @spark or @webex and we include a room -  If the room included is a Spark Kit, anyone that walks into the room at the meeting time or a few minutes before are greeted with a "join" button which would start the meeting or join the room waiting for the host to start.

If the room included is a Spark Board, a few minutes before the meeting, the board starts ringing to join the room. However, no one is the space/spark room and the meeting hasn't started by the host.

This leads to a Spark board interrupting existing meetings in that conference room because the Spark Board is trying to initiate the meeting. It should just display a "join me" button like the Spark Kit.

Our testing methods required us to leave all devices outside of the room, to ensure it wasn't user error. For some reason, the Spark board starts relentlessly ringing  3 minutes before start time, which the room kit just shows a "join" button.

OK, now this makes sense

Unfortunately this is also my experience - Users and Spark Boards get a call, Spark Room devices (i.e. anything running Room OS software) gets a OBTP/ aka Big Green Button

Since this is a public forum, I guess it is best to have someone from Cisco share their intentions on bringing OBTP to the Spark Board.

Thanks for the reply. Someone’s confirmation is all I needed. I just thought we set something up in correctly on our end since the behavior was different.
