Set Jabber 11.9 to save chats in outlook

Hi,

I've been trying to activate the option SaveChatHistoryToExchangeOperationMode but no matter which value i enter it's still not showing in Jabber.

Does someone had this issue and find a way to add this option ?

I'm not familiar with editing the files directly on the PC, since this feature goes away/went away with a certain version of Jabber. The only two supported methods are jabber-config.xml or jabber-config-some-custom-name.xml which you specify on the CSF device in CUCM.

Try performing your changes in one of those two locations. I assume you are reading the documentation, else I don't know how you would have gotten the XML node names, therefore, I wont link it.

Getting the XML node names is quite easy but i've been looking around to find the jabber-config.xml.
I haven't read the documentation yet because I've been switching between projects but i guess I'll have to do it now.

Oh, well, then I was mistaken.

Here is the chapter on the jabber-config.xml and jabber-config-your-custom-name.xml for the CSF devices.

Basically, you edit the XML files in a text editor and then upload them to the CUCM TFTP servers (root folder level) and then restart TFTP.  For the group config on the CSF, you can specify it on the CSF device down in the "Cisco Support Field" in the following format: configurationfile=jabber-config-your-custom-name.xml and then Sign-out/Sign-in to Jabber.

TIP: If you need a copy of your current XML, you can find it like this:

https://yourcucmtftpserver:6972/jabber-config.xml

But remember to right click the page and select View Source before copying the contents out.

Alternatively, you can press CTRL+Shift+D in Jabber hub window and then click on the same link in the pop up box.
