I'm trying to install the latest version of Spark but it insists on trying to install the older version first and looks for the older MSI file, which I no longer have. Is there a way to bypass this?

Do you have Spark currently installed? If so, run it for a little while in the background and it will eventually auto update itself, see Update the Cisco Spark App to the Latest Release.
If you do not have Spark installed, but did at one point in time, some old files might still be lingering, in which case you'll probably need to run some sort of uninstall program such as CCLeaner for example.
