Two Contacts - Same Name, Different Numbers???

Hi Guy’s,

I have a scenario where we have two staff with the same name in Active Directory but two different numbers however when one of them calls a Jabber user, the wrong person appears on the Jabber display….

Example 2 people (John James ext 11111 & John James ext 22222). When John James ext 11111 calls a Jabber user, it is showing John James ext 22222. How is the filtering done in this case? Is there anyway to avoid what is happening?

Hi James

It's probably easiest to do a packet capture from the destination Jabber client. Use wireshark, and then filter it for 'ldap'

You should be able to see it do a lookup against AD for the number or some other field and work out why it returns the wrong user.
