Use of Jabber Chat rooms vs individual chat

Hi All,

When I use the Jabber chatrooms the messages will transfer to all of the devices that are in use, or when they reconnect.

For the Jabber chat to an individual, this is not the case and only remains on the device that it occurred on.  This is the case not only with myself but other users in my groups.

Please advise if this is as per design of Jabber, or if there are some different settings required?

If you mean persistent chat, yes, because those messages are stored in a DB which is accessed by users who belong to that room and you can review old messages.

A 1:1 or a regular group chat are not stored on the server or a DB, and only signed on devices would get the messages.
