Webex Hybrid Calling

Dears All,

In our CUCM infrastructure, we are planning to transition from Jabber to Webex. During this migration, it's crucial that Webex maintains the same directory numbers, and parallel ringing functionality is retained. The objective is to ensure that Webex, registered on the cloud, can seamlessly make calls to CUCM extensions, PSTN, and remote sites. I would like to understand the necessary components and steps required for successful implementation.

This is your starting point:

For calling to CUCM, PSTN, ... you need to have a Local GW (CUBE) between the cloud and your on-prem infrastructure:

When you say migration from Jabber to Webex in relation with CM do you mean that you’ll retain the calling functionality in CM and simply change the client application that you use? If so both Jabber and Webex uses the same device configuration in CM, so there would be no difference in directory number or functions like Mobile Connect, what I think you refer to as parallel ringing.

In Control Hub you set what call function that the Webex application should use. It can be set on an org level or on individual users.
