Hi Sharon,
What exact version of CWMS are you running (e.g. 2.5.1.29, 2.5.1.5033, or a different one - can be seen on the CWMS Dashboard)?
What type of NFS storage are you using (e.g. Linux, Windows, NetApp, etc.)?
Normally, when you are able to add NFS storage to the solution, and backups are working fine, but recordings are failing is due to misconfiguration of NFS storage in regards to access and permissions.
Please, ensure with NFS storage admins that they must allow access to NFS storage from all internal CWMS VMs (admin, media, web, pretty much all but IRP servers). Also, access should be allowed to everyone with full control so the system can create directories and sub-directories and that the files created in those directories are assigned full access privileges for everyone.
Here is the documentation that explains requirements for NFS storage: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/collaboration/CWMS/2_5/Administration_Guide/Administration_Guide/Administration_Guide_chapter_01110.html#task_4A68696836634ECDADFE4B8223540617
I hope this will be of help.
