will upgrade expressway affect the public certificate?

Dears ,

we are planning to purchase public certificate based on certificate request for cisco expressway X8.11 but not done yet. meanwhile we are planning to upgrade the server to X12.5 version.

in case we purchased the certificate and install it before upgrade , will the upgrade affect the certificate validation ?

Expressway upgrade procedure does not affect public certificate validation as long as you do not change hostname or domain of the server during upgrade process.

can you please advise if the upgrade from x8.11 to x12.5 is valid and no need for intermediate upgrade .

also does this affect licenses ?

Direct upgrade from Expressway version 8.11.x to 12.x.x is supported. You do not need intermediate upgrade in this case. Check Upgrading to X12.5.3 section in this release notes for more details.
