Is it possible to create a application user in CUCM with AXL API Access but allow read only access to the CUCM database?

I also would like to create a read-only AXL role to prevent a lookup AXL app from writing to CM database.

AXL API access is currently read/write - it is not possible to configure a read-only AXL user: http://developer.cisco.com/web/axl-developer/faqs#section-25

are there any updates to this with 10.5 ?   We would like to provide certain groups with read-only rights to AXL APIs.
