Created by: JEREMY WADHAMS on 04-11-2009 12:13:24 AM We're using database-driven presets to control the cameras in our new web-based video control tool. The presets are stored on our central control server, not in memory on the unit. For instance the server will issue something like:
The problem I'm seeing is that some times (this rarely showed up in testing, but it's showing up regularly now that we're training users on it) the system will get into a state where it will not re-focus when I issue the CameraFocus command. The issue appears to clear up if I hang up and re-dial.
All of the affected systems are Edge 95 with firmware F8.1

Subject: RE: CameraPosition followed by CameraFocus commands leave camera unfocused Replied by: JEREMY WADHAMS on 25-11-2009 01:18:55 AM For anyone who finds this question later, our current solution is to statically provide the Focus in all of our presets, and to never trust the Auto Focus feature of the units. In our rooms, the conference table prevents you from being in a significantly different depth than we anticipated when we programmed the presets, so AutoFocus can't actually do a better job than we can do statically at set up time.
