The Cisco VCS to Unified Communications License Migration Program (formally VCS to UCM Migration Licensing Program) allows customers to migrate their existing video endpoints from Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server (VCS) to Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UC Manager) in order to leverage an enriched call control experience while maintaining their current video investment.

Starting in March 2017, the program now allows video-centric customers to migrate (and register) their Cisco or 3rd party video endpoints from VCS to the Cisco Expressway Series.

This guide is intended to assist our partners in ordering the migration SKUs, with screenshot examples, and details on using the program.

Update: This program has been extended through July 25th 2020 (FY20)

Hello, When will UCM version 11.x be available in migrate top-level id R-UCL-UCM-MIG-K9? It is already available in R-UCL-UCM-LIC-K9.

I can not find the mentioned PAK (R-VCS2EXPWY-E-K9) at the CCW any more... "No Products Found."

Please ensure you are entering the entire product ID (R-VCS2EXPWY-E-K9) as it is not searchable.

When converting users from Jabber for Video (MOVI) to UCL we are seeing a dramatic increase in support costs - roughly 5.5 X higher if we account for the base price difference and the 3:1 migration ratio.  MOVI was per session so it was often over subscribed but now we need to license end users, this raises the price a lot.  Are there any plans to allow for an allowance of conversion for SWSS for possibly the first year of these migrations to ease the costs?

R-UCL-UCM-MIG-K9 seems to have been removed / deactivated in CCW and you must now use R-UCL-UCM-UPG-K9. Please update the documentation when possible.

Are they extending this for FY17?

Are there any process descriptions how to transfer RMS licenses from Expressway C to Expressway E?

Migration oVCS to UCM 11 (not be6000)

MIG-VCS-UCM-TPR without service. CCW does not add a service.

It is correct?

I think service is necessary.

What P/N add to order?

Hello Seva. It was a problem for a while but was correct just last week. TP room SWSS is working now.

If you come across any customers not using VCS, but using the old Cisco TelePresence MCU 4200/4500/8420 etc. Gatekeeper options (GKO-100 & GKO-300) for H.323 device registration, please let me know and we'll see what we can do to help those customers migrate to our preferred UCM/Expressway architecture too. Thanks.
