CUCM: Roles and Permissions for extension mobility

Following are the roles needed in CUCM for Extension Mobility:

• Phone Services Subscribe: This is needed if you want to add the Extension Mobility phone service to Devices and Device Profiles.
• User Web Page: This is needed if you want to edit users so you can assign Device Profiles, phone extensions, etc.
• Service URL Page: (optional)  This will help if you want to create a Service URL button on the station (i.e. pointing to the EM service).

In order to assign these roles, perform these steps:

1. Choose User Management > Role. The Find and List Roles window displays.
2. Locate the the Standard CCM Phone Management role  and copy the role  by clicking the Copy button next to the role. In the popup window that displays, enter a name for the new role and click OK.
3. Add the following roles: Phone Services Subscribe, User Web Page and Service URL Page. Give the Read and Update Permissions and Save.
4. Go to User Management > Groups. Copy the Standard CCM Phone Administration group to a new group. Enter a name for the new group.
5. Edit the role assignment.  Remove the Standard CCM Phone Management role and add new role you have created.  Click Save.
6. Associate the end user to the group.
