Aspect Integration with ICM 8.5 ACD PG

As per the Cisco documentations the Application bridge can communicate with both the CMI/Contact Servers and vice verse.

Meaning there is a criss cross connection between Application bridge and Aspect Contact Server.

However when I checked with my Aspect engineer I was said Contact Server can accept a single connection from Application Bridge ; However the Contact Server can accept connection from both the Duplexed PGs (One being Active).

So I am kind of confused here if anyone has a Aspect integration with Cisco , please help out.

Secondly in Cisco doc its mentioned we need to ensure "Application Bridge Server" is installed in Aspect ACD so as to provide Call Disconnect Message and Call Transfer Message , which prevents hanging call states.

So my second question is Is it a mandate to use Application Bridge Server.
