Hey all, I'm just building out a uccx 8.5 lab but have a few issues with the install. The server build is fine, I can login to the admin page to run through the setup wizard. After the wizard completes and I close the browser it won't let me back in with he original admin password. Have I missed something here? I can't se any ref in the admin guide to this happening after initial setup. I did try a rebuild in case it was a freak thing but got the same issue. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply but my lab is well documented and this is not the issue as this is a lab environment I use same password for all accounts. Other areas still working.

Hello,
Maybe I don't understand properly the question, but after you run the initial setup a flag is set to true in CET, therefore you will not be able to login using the username/password that you configured during the installation again unless you call TAC. As you noticed during the initial setup you selected a CUCM end user to be the administrator, you need to use that user/password everytime that you want to access the UCCX admin page

Hey Walter you understanding is correct. I did also permit access to one of my lab users. Do you know whether that user requires certain permission levels on cucm to access ccx? Or is this all handled on the uccx server? Also do these users passwords need to meet the same standard as the admin password during setup. I.e my user passwords are simple unlike the min requirement for the admin password during the install.

Hi together,
Walters hints are correct and very helpful.

I ran into the same issue that Davies did. I also rebuilt my server to no avail. I followed Walters advice about logging in as the user defined as the administrator and it worked! Seems like a simple resolution in retrospect.
