i have just installed Cisco SocialMiner 10.0 and i got everything running and fine. But i received error when changing the reporting db credential in
Administration --> Reporting Configuration --> Edit --> Fill up username & password --> Save
It throws "Error - An error occurred on the application server during operation.
The request reached the application server but it took too long to respond."
Is there a way to check if the informix database is running?

I don't have access to our lab right now, but I think there's a database utility within the CLI. Something like db status or something like that.

Hi David, Thanks for your response!
i tried CLI show tech dbstateinfo and it says that the Informix is UP.
Anything else that i might need to check?

Hi David, after consecutively hitting the Save button for several times, i finally managed the set up the reporting user successfullly!!
