Connecting to Lab VPN

Is it possible to connect to the lab while running in an RDP session? Our test server is a VM that we contact via RDP, an it in turn should connect to the Lab setup.

@lvj00000111 this should work, the VPN for the sandbox does allow this connection. Start the VPN service from your VM.

I still get a slap on the wrist telling me it is not allowed for a remote user. Is there something I should change in AnyConnect?

Someone on the internet claimed, that I could find the AnyConnectProfile.xsd and change WindowsVPNEstablishment's default to AllowRemoteUsers, though that did not help

@lvj00000111 i am by no means an expert here, i found this thread (although its not marked as resolved) it looks this solved the issues. https://community.cisco.com/t5/vpn/cisco-anyconnect-4-7-x-on-the-cloud-s-vm-with-rdp-connection/td-p/4411476

I tried to get the profile editor, but the download link is dead. I tried to edit the profile file, but that didn't work.

I then found a preferences.xml in APPDATA,

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<AnyConnectPreferences>
<DefaultUser>lvj0000011</DefaultUser>
<DefaultSecondUser></DefaultSecondUser>
<ClientCertificateThumbprint></ClientCertificateThumbprint>
<MultipleClientCertificateThumbprints></MultipleClientCertificateThumbprints>
<ServerCertificateThumbprint></ServerCertificateThumbprint>
<DefaultHostName>devnetsandbox-usw1-reservation.cisco.com:20165</DefaultHostName>
<DefaultHostAddress></DefaultHostAddress>
<DefaultGroup>SSLClient</DefaultGroup>
<ProxyHost></ProxyHost>
<ProxyPort></ProxyPort>
<SDITokenType>none</SDITokenType>
<ControllablePreferences>
<LocalLanAccess>true</LocalLanAccess>
</ControllablePreferences>
</AnyConnectPreferences>

I triedto add

<WindowsVPNEstablishment>AllowRemoteUsers</WindowsVPNEstablishment>

to that, but it didn't work.
