Hello,
Does anyone know how to setup a customized extension that will allow you to record a .wav file on the CallManager server that can be used in scripts to create custom prompts?
I have seen this done before, but can't remember how to set it up. Basically, you pick up a phone, dial an extension, and press #. At that point everything you say over the handset is recorded into a .wav file and stored in a particular directory on the CallManager server.
If anyone has any instructions or a place to reference, I would really appreciate it! Thanks, and have a great day.

Below is a link to the Cisco Sample Script Repository. There is an included script called recordwrite that should get you started.

Actually you can do this on the Unity server as well. Just set to record a greeting for a subscriber. You can specify what extension to record from and also where to save the file.
