CUIC refresh upgrade 10.x to 11.6 - do all nodes in cluster need to be upgraded at same time?

Document (Installation and Upgrade Guide for Cisco Unified Intelligence Center, Release 11.6(1) 2017-08-24) says to do the published node first and then proceed with the subscriber nodes.

I was asked by peer review, can the entire upgrade be done on the primary node, validated, and then if good, move on to do subrsciber node (only one in my case)?

as opposed to the normal way, upgrade the primary then the seconadary and then if validation fails. revert back to old version.

any red flags?

Hi Lenny,

Good to hear that you decided to upgrade 11.6 CUIC, loaded with custom features and improved view of reports.
You can perform upgrade to your primary node first, there is no need of performing simultaneous upgrade. If you find primary node reporting stuck or an error during or post installation, you can switch back to 10.X but yes if you are running one with 11.6 and other with 10.x you will end up as a standalone server output and data mismatch.
