Finesse Client Side Chat API

Is there anyway we can get access to making modifications to the chat window for the client in the future ?

I am not aware of this being on the roadmap, but I can double check.

Hi Chris

You cannot access the code shipped and modify it. You can use the published Chat APIs to create a custom client side interface. This has been available since day 1.

The Chat APIs are in the SocialMiner Developer Guide Chap 7 https://pubhub.devnetcloud.com/media/contact-center-express/docs/downloads/previous-documentation/customer-collaboration-platform-developer-guide/Cisco_SocialMiner_Developer_Guide_Release_11.6(1).pdf 

 

There is also a sample code - customer-chat-sample at https://github.com/CiscoDevNet/socialminer-sample-code/tree/master/customer-chat 

The socialminer-pop-chat-example is yet another one which uses the Chat APIs to create some functionality.
