Finesse screen pop question

we are running UCCE 10.5 and Finesse 11 and I'm having some difficulty understanding how Finesse handles popping a URL.

We have setup Finesse to pop a web based app upon answer in Finesse.

However, our agents are usually working in this app prior to logging into Finesse.

What I was hoping to see is the first call that comes in would pop within the app window/tab if it was already open however it is not.  It is popping a new tab which is something we do not want.

Does Finesse create some sort of handle to the tab it opens so that subsequent pops go to the same tab?

If someone could provide some insight to this it would be very helpful.

Unfortunately, not natively. I believe there is some code running around the internet which could help you do this. If you don't want to venture into custom code, what about putting your app inside a gadget inside of Finesse?
