General extension mobility question about setup

We've used extension mobility on our older CUCM system and back then we didn't pull users from active directory like we are now on CUCM 8.6. We has setup user id's to the actual internal four digit extension. Having said that all of our user id's are setup now on the new system as first initial last name. My question is when using extension mobility can you set it up so that the system uses a different field in the users profile? Like their four digit internal extension? Or is there no way to alternatively setup the extension mobility userid to be anything but the CUCM user's ID field?

You can setup any DN for the extension mobility user profile , it doesn't matter. You can follow this guide:
