Informix SDK with Informix in UCCX 12.5

Hi,

I'm using UCCX 12.5 and as per the specification UCCX uses Informix as database. And any application developer for UCCX 12.5 needs to execute procedures/functions in Informix requires IBM Informix SDK. And with UCCX 12.5 Informix is installed by default, so do we get Informix SDK from Cisco along with UCCX?

As you already figured by yourself, it requires the IBM informix SDK.

So you will get it from the IBM website.

But you need IBM subscription to download Informix SDK and as Informix is not installed as a stand alone product and it's bundled with UCCX system which is provided by Cisco, so UCCX end user won't have IBM subscription to download the Informix SDK.

But that's the way.

Just because you buy a product from partner A, which has components of company B, doesn't mean, you automatically get all the subscription / access to the used components of company B too.

Cisco has the licenses to use Informix in their products.

But as a customer, you don't by the Informix as a product, you buy the Cisco products, which just contains an IBM Informix component.

But you can download the free test version of the IBM Informix Client SDK. You just need to open a free account there.
