What's the best practice from Cisco to do IPCC restore if the whole IPCC crashed ?
1.use Cisco BARS to restore data after rebuild the server?
2. Use veritias or ghost to restore the whole server including crs database?
Thanks

Hello,
We do not support the use of veritas or ghost on the CRS server. The only supported backup method is BARS. You can also pull a mirrored drive as well.

Thanks. If I backup CCM publisher and IPCC with BARS together, how does BARS know which files are used for IPCC restore since they are all in one zip file.

you need to install BARS as a target on the IPCC Express server for this. And the software will take care of the rest.

When using BARS to backup the IPCC Express server. Does it backup EVERYTHING (including the Scripts)?

The best practice is to excersize disaster recovery regularly in the lab. This will answer all questions what is being backed up and you'll be familiar with the recovery process.

Hi all,
Quick Q on BARS. Does the main application have to be installed on the ccm publisher, or can it be installed on a seperate server?
I really need to know as i'm having disk space issues during the backups which is causing instability on the main ccm
Thanks

BARS need to be installed on a server running Call Manager or one of its associated cisco IP telephony applications.

Thanks, so i can install BARS as on our IPCC express server and use this as the main BARS schedualer?
then reinstall bars on the remaining callmanagers as a target.

Will BARS backup the Scripts and configuration from IPCC so that i can place it on another backup server?
