IPCC - trigger external program - Pass variables

Does anyone know if IPCC, (currently 3.5.2) can start an external program and pass variables to it? If so how do you accomplish this? This would be the same thing as if you started an executable program from the command line and passed in a couple of variables on the command line.

If this is possible this will enable direct access to databases through this executable program. This will essentially create a wired solution to a database dramatically speeding things up and avoiding any ODBC issues.

Thanks

Carl

Carl,

It all depends on what you are using for your desktop.

Cisco agent desktop administrator can do this. YOu need to create a work flow and in it a rule for ringing event that will trigger an action to launch an external program.

You may want to lood for the admin guide.

Good luck,

Baseer.

Do you suggest that a work flow can be triggered from a script and pass variables from that script through the workflow?
