Launching an External Application from Admin Desktop with arguments

Hi.

I am the Service Now (ticketing system) administrator and I'm working with a guy here that has access to the Cisco Agent admin.

We are trying to setup a CTI system between Cisco agent and Service now.

Basically we need cisco to pass to service now 2 arguments (parameters) so we can open a new incident which will auto fill from who's calling.

I already done all the work on my side (service now) and tested it using test url but we are having issues with the cisco part.

Here is an example of the url I am testing with:

https://aldodev.service-now.com/nav_to.do?uri=incident.do?sys_id=-1%26sysparm_query=u_calling_number=2125555555

When I use this it opens fine and populates the fields perfectly.

We were trying to use the http/url type launcher but it kept launching the url in the integrated browser which we don't want.

So we started using the Lauching external application.

In the application field we put this:

https://aldodev.service-now.com/nav_to.do?uri=incident.do?sys_id=-1%26sysparm_query=u_calling_number=

Then we setup *ANI to get the phone number and put it in the left arguments window.

The phone number argument should be appended to my url no?

I am suppose to use quotes " and add the arguments after ?

Something like this?:

"https://aldodev.service-now.com/nav_to.do?uri=incident.do?sys_id=-1%26sysparm_query=u_calling_number=" + /*ANI

What about when I want to add the second argument how do I define this.

Please help.
