I have a menu option for when you press 1 the call is redirected to an 800# do I use the call redirect for that action??

Yes, use Call Redirect. The Destination will be a string variable that you have defined. If you need an access code, such as 9, to access an outside line, don't forget to include that code in the variable.

Set the contact to handled in the successful branch of the Redirect step so that it is not
counted as an abandoned call in the reports.
