I have a UCCX HA 11.6 cluster deployed in a corporate domain using Self Signed Certificates from the corporate internal CA. I have added SocialMiner in the DMZ using a public IP address with no NAT.
My question is, can I have the SocialMiner application certificate signed by a public CA like verisign etc and leave UCCX as the internal Self Signed certificates? My intention would be to upload the SocialMiner publicly signed cert chain to UCCX for the UCCX to SM integration.
Would this allow the web chat bubble facing customers to present the public signed certificate, and the chat and email gadget to the agents in finesse would use the public signed certificate for that gadget only and the rest of Finesse would be using the internal CA signed certificate as it is currently? Or do I need to get both UCCX servers and SocialMiner to all use a public CA signed certificate?
