UCCX OS Updates

I will be applying numerous Microsoft Security Updates this evening to our UCCX (7.01 SR5) HA environment.  I already have reviewed a previous forum discussion about applying MS Updates : https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-13458#comment-5127 and it looks as a general rule of thumb all security updates can be applied via Windows Updates.

My question is - is there any particuliar path one should take when applying these updates such as applying to the standby node first, reboot, fail services over to the newly upgraded node, then update the primary node?  Are there any MS updates that are known to have caused issues?

Thanks.

For what it's worth... and I know this is for a different version but...

When I was upgrading my UCCX box to 8.0(2) SU3 from straight 8.0(2) - I had to install on the publisher first, then the subscriber.

In an attempt to save time - I tried to get the SFTP download happening on both Pub and Sub.

When I attempted to start the Sub download - it advised "No valid upgrade options found" and then in the "Invalid Upgrades" listing on the same page it showed the upgrade file with the following in the 'status' section "Publisher mismatch. This subscriber can only be upgraded to a version that matches the active or inactive versions on the publisher. "

AKA - install on publisher - then sub.

Hope this helps someone else out there.
