Customer has an existing UCCX v5 system and wants to upgrade to UCCX 8.5. Customer does not have UCSS.
Customer has purchased the upgrade SKU L-CCX-85-UPG-LIC.
My problem is that this upgrade needs to leapfrog through 7.0(1) SR5 or 7.0(2).
Is there any easy way to get the upgrade license to do the upgrade to 7.x as an intermediate step so this will work?
TIA
Cliff

Hi Cliff,
The way this is going to be possible is to:
-Upgrade to 7.0 SR5, order an upgrade license from 5 to 7 and then from 7 to 8
The same file cannot be used
Unfortunately you would have to order the upgrade files to 7
Thanks,
Prashanth

UCCX 7.0 went EoS last year so that is not an option
You can do a direct upgrade from 5.0(2) to 8.0 so if you can hold of the 8.0 upgrade media you can use that as an interim step. The license files you will get when registering your PAK codes should be ok with both 8.0 and 8.5.

Thats incorrect regarding uccx 7 going end of support, its still a valid recommended path to upgrade and you will be provided licenses for the same , please check our compatibility matrix and the recommended upgraded paths to 8.5
-
7.0(1)SR5
7.0(2)
8.0(1)
8.0(2)
8.0(2)SU1
8.0(2)SU2
8.0(2)SU3
Let me know if you need the compatibility matrix and I can send the same out
-Of course you can upgrade to 8.0 and then move to 8.5
-7.0 is still being supported and thats incorrect abt the EOS

By EOS I meant End of Sale - apologies for any confusion.
As UCCX 7.0 is no longer available for purchase then I do not understand how your suggested upgrade path is possible.

Yep its definitely EOL
But then as you are already at 5.0 you can obtain upgrade licenses to 7.0 and then move to 8.5, as the upgrade to 7 is just a intermediate step, you can check with licensing too
-However if its a brand new install of 7.0 thats not possible anymore
