I have created to 3rd team for our contact center, but it does not appear in the team dropdown in Supervisor Desktop. Supervisors and Agents have been assigned to this team, including the supervisor user trying to view the team in CSD. What have I forgotten to do? We are using UCCX 9.0

Nothing extra you need for this. As long as you have selected the Supervisor for a Team, you should be able to see that in CSD if logged in using that supervisor.
Exception to above statement, if the Supervisor Access is set to "Access to all Teams" under System Parameters then any supervisor should be able to see all the teams which exist in UCCX irrespective of the fact if they are Supervisor for those teams or not.
Looks like sync is not happening properly here. Try restarting below services form UCCX, can be done in Production hours:
Cisco Desktop LDAP Monitor Service
Cisco Desktop Sync Service
Note : Restart above services on secondary server as well in case of HA

Bouncing the Cisco Desktop Sync service fixed the issue.
